  • Unlimited devices
  • 30-day no-questions-asked refund

Create an account

Use the “Start Free” link on this page to open the user panel, then follow the prompts to enter a username and password. VPN97 does not require an email address; your username and password are all you need to create an account. Check your username before submitting, and choose a password you do not use on other sites. Once your account is created, save your login details in a trusted password manager. You will need the same account to switch devices, get your subscription, or view orders.

If you already have an account, go straight to the login page. There is no need to create another account just to download a client. Your plan, orders, and subscription are linked to your account, so signing in with a different account will not show the original account’s details. If no plan appears after you log in, first check that you are using the correct username, then review your order status.

Once you’re in the panel, look for the account overview, plans, and client downloads. The web panel manages your service; the client on your device establishes the connection. They are separate interfaces. Creating an account does not activate a plan or change your device’s network settings. Next, choose a billing option that suits your usage.

Choose a plan and complete your order

Open the plans section in the user panel and compare monthly subscriptions with data packages. Monthly subscriptions include a set data allowance: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Monthly data resets on your activation date each month, not at the start of the calendar month. Choose based on how you use the service: browsing and document work, video streaming, and large file transfers all have different data needs. Device count alone is not a reliable way to estimate usage.

If your usage varies, compare the data packages: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. Data is available until used and never expires. Data packages and monthly subscriptions have different validity rules, so monthly reset terms do not apply to data packages. All plans allow unlimited simultaneous devices, but check your account’s data balance to track usage across devices.

After choosing a plan, check the billing method, price, and data allowance in your order, then follow the payment instructions. VPN97 accepts Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. Once payment is complete, return to the panel to check your order and plan status. If the status has not changed, check the original order result before creating another one. When upgrading a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; review the result shown in the panel before confirming.

VPN97 offers a 30-day no-questions-asked refund. See the refund policy for eligibility and instructions. For a full price comparison, visit the plans page. Once the panel shows an active plan, open your account overview to get your subscription. You do not need to look for an installer or subscription URL on the payment page.

Choose This Plan

Get your subscription from the panel

Stay signed in and open your account overview in the user panel to find the subscription section. The subscription lets your client retrieve server configuration; it is not your login password or a regular webpage bookmark. If the panel offers an import option for your client, use it when available. This sends the configuration to the client on your device, and your browser may ask permission to open the app.

To import by copying, copy the subscription link from the panel, then open the client’s subscription manager or remote configuration section. Paste the link into the URL field—not the configuration name, search box, or manual server address field. The name field is just for identifying the configuration; use any name that makes sense to you. Get the actual URL from the panel while signed in. Do not copy the example shown on this page.

This placeholder is only an example of the link format: https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN. It cannot be used to connect. A real subscription link contains account-related information. Do not post it in group chats, public screenshots, or online documents, and do not submit it to unfamiliar online conversion tools. If you need to report an issue to support, include the error message but hide the full URL and any sensitive account information.

After saving the URL, you’ll usually need to update or download the configuration before the server list appears in the client. If you see a configuration name but no servers, the configuration may not have downloaded successfully. Check your plan status in the panel, copy the complete link again, and look for any parsing or download errors in the client. Do not add spaces, punctuation, or extra parameters to the end of the link.

Open Account Overview

Import into clients on each platform

First, open the client downloads page in the user panel, select your device’s platform, and read the import instructions there. VPN97 supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. Sign in to download clients for all platforms except iOS; the iOS download requires an active plan. You must be signed in to get a subscription. Downloading a client and obtaining a working subscription are separate steps.

Windows desktop client

Select the Windows desktop proxy client in the panel, follow the download page instructions to install it, then open the app. If the panel offers an import button for your client, leave the client running, return to your browser, and confirm any prompt to open the app. To import manually, open the client’s configuration or subscription manager, choose the option to import from a link, paste the URL copied from the account overview, and save.

Update the configuration, select the one you just imported, and make sure the server list appears. When connecting, follow the client’s prompts to enable the system proxy or the relevant network routing mode. Seeing the app icon in the system tray does not mean your traffic is going through the client. If you have another proxy tool on your device, quit any tool you are not using to prevent multiple apps from changing the system proxy. Keep the current configuration and continue with the connection checks below.

macOS desktop client

Download the macOS desktop client from the panel, follow the instructions there to install it, then open it for the first time. If macOS asks to allow a network extension or add a network configuration, verify that the request comes from the client you just installed, then follow the prompts in System Settings. If an authorization window is hidden behind another window, do not reinstall the app repeatedly; check System Settings and the client’s prompts first.

Open the configuration or subscription section and use the import option provided by the panel, or add a remote configuration by URL. Save and update the subscription, select the configuration and server, then connect. If the client shows servers but your browser’s exit IP has not changed, check that the system proxy, connection mode, and any required permissions are enabled. For more help with macOS installation and permissions, see the Mac VPN Setup Guide for Beginners.

Android mobile client

Sign in to the panel and select the Android proxy client. Follow the download page instructions to install it. Open the client and add the subscription URL under configuration, subscription, or remote configuration. You can also use the panel’s import option if available for your client. After importing, update the configuration, confirm that the server names appear, and set this configuration as the active one.

The first time you connect, Android will usually show a system prompt to set up a VPN connection. Check which app is making the request, then allow it and return to the client to check its connection status. If the connection drops when you leave the app, check whether your system restricts its background activity and adjust the relevant settings on your device. If you only want certain apps to use the proxy, first learn how the client’s per-app rules work. For your initial setup, verify the default configuration before changing the scope, and avoid changing several options at once.

iOS mobile client

Sign in to an account with an active plan, open the iOS download section in the panel, and follow its instructions to get the client. Once installed, return to the panel for instructions on importing your subscription. Menu labels vary between iOS clients and may include Subscription, Configuration, or Add Configuration. Choose an option that supports a remote subscription URL; do not enter the subscription URL as an individual server parameter.

Open the client from the panel’s import option, or paste the subscription URL manually. Update and select the configuration first. If iOS asks to add a VPN configuration the first time you connect, verify the client and approve the request, then return to the app and connect. If other network configurations are saved on your device, make sure the client you intend to use is the one enabled. Installation, having a configuration, and being connected are separate states; check each one.

Linux setup

Linux users can download the VPN97 client and its instructions from the panel’s downloads page. Sign in to download. After installation, follow the on-screen instructions for that client to add your subscription, update the configuration, and connect. System proxy settings vary across desktop environments, so follow the client’s instructions and verify the actual exit IP rather than relying on menu locations from another platform.

Connect to a server and verify it works

Once the configuration has updated, choose a location from the client’s server list and connect. For your first setup, pick one server and use it throughout the verification process; avoid switching locations or changing proxy modes during testing. See the server routes page for route types. IEPL dedicated lines, relays, and direct connections describe how traffic is routed; the name alone does not guarantee that a particular app will work.

Before connecting, open the IP lookup page to note your current exit information. After connecting, refresh the results and compare the exit IP and location. If the lookup fails, treat it as a temporary lookup issue rather than proof that the connection failed. If your browser is showing cached content or reusing an old connection, reopen the page and check again, then consider how your apps behave.

Next, open the website or app you actually want to use and check the sign-in page, content loading, and core features. A changed browser exit IP only shows that this browser request used the selected route; it does not mean every app is using the same route. Split-tunneling rules, an app’s own proxy settings, and the system connection mode can send different apps through different exits. Streaming services and AI tools may also have account, location, and platform requirements, so check them after connecting.

If the client says it is connected but access has not changed, first confirm that the right configuration is selected and includes servers. Then check the system proxy or network permissions, and make sure the target app is included in the proxy rules. Change one setting at a time and repeat the same check to narrow down the cause. Avoid changing the subscription, client, and server all at once, or it will be hard to tell what fixed the issue.

If the issue persists, submit a request through the support ticket section in the user panel. Include your device platform, the client’s error message, the selected server location, and what happens in your browser and the affected app. Hide your subscription URL and login details in screenshots. For route types, billing options, and choosing a server for ongoing use, read the service selection guide. For more detail on verification, see the guide to checking your exit IP, DNS, and per-app connections.
